Bolton´s tips & wisdom

20131012 Bolton

The past weekend I had the funniest, wisest and warmest Labradoodle to communicate with that I have ever had the privilege to connect with.

He was just a bright sparkle all over, and there were quite a lot of things he said which I think we can all benefit and learn from. With the permission of his person, who booked the consult with me – and of course the permission from Bolton himself – I am sharing two of those here.

One of all the questions I always ask the animal (I have about 20 or so questions I ask every animal in the consultations, next to all the questions from the animal´s people) is what he thinks of people/humans in general and how he relates to them. On this Bolton replied something we can all take to heart ;

“ Sometimes I really get a “human allergy”. People just don’t have any awareness at all about their own energy, what energy and signals they are sending out and this leads to a total lack of control of the consequences.”

I asked him to elaborate a bit and he explained to me that we humans need to take the responsibility of all our actions and thoughts as well as the consequences of these. He showed me that quite often we stand around and “chit chat” or do “cold talk” and we let all sorts of things about ourselves, other people, other peoples kids, dogs, cats, birds and horses slip out we don´t realize that every word or thought sent out with a bad intent or a not so friendly comment creates a whirlwind of negativity that comes back to bite us all. Animals, and quite often young children, all feel this straight away and when they cannot walk away from this negative energy it sticks to them. Bolton also showed me that it sticks to all of us, and that we have to stop questioning why “things don´t work out” and look at what energy we are putting out into the world. All the time.

Once we get that we can experiment immediately with putting positive energy out there – comments, hugs, compliments, and see what happens then.

I was also told that when you catch yourself with “one negative” , don´t beat yourself up but go for “two positives”. So when you find yourself thinking, wanting or having said something negative about a situation or somebody just pause and look for two positives in the same situation. “Bolton´s diffuse”.

Bolton also had a tip for all of us dog people for when a situation arises with another dog or more dogs whom you see your own dog reacting fearful too. That is the moment when you as the “leader” has to step in with all your energy and presence. Saying “don´t be afraid” out loud he told us, won´t work at this point. You have to put yourself physically in the way between the other dog/s and yours and show with your energy that you are not letting anyone close to your animal. This is done without words, so it requests your complete presence and awareness of your own intent and energy. Then everyone can feel that there is nothing to be afraid of, there is no trespassing of boundaries here.

His comment to this was also “that is why kids don´t do what you say, instead they do what you do. So, do! And be aware of what you do! And Do when you do!”

Bolton is showing us one situation here, but his comment and solution is something we can take in to all areas of our lives.

Thank you Bolton for talking to us all!

Ticks and fleas, no chemicals for our dogs!

Wow Akasha en Elsamerco

I usually don´t promote products, but when I find something really good that actually works it is worth sharing with the rest of the world, right!?

When spring came my husband voiced his concern and said he´d rather not use “the chemical stuff” on our dogs this year against the ticks.
Of course he was right about that as a lot of the stuff we use on our dogs in the Western world against ticks even kills cats – would that not make you wonder what it does to your canine friend then!?

We used a combination of the tips given by Dr. Martin Goldstein in his book ” The Nature of Animal Healing – The Definitive Holistic Medicine Guide To Caring For Your Dog And Cat” – where he advices to use garlic and a brewers yeast stupplement in the diet daily and ” Natural Flea And Tick Defense” by Dr. Merocla Healthy Pets which we spray on the fur and massage in twice daily.

It “works like a train”, as they say here in The Netherlands when something is a huge success!

Of course we have the occasional tick here and there some days on the husky ladies, but we had that using the “chemical stuff” too.
Out of 7 days per week that we walk them outside in the woods ( 2-4 times per day), they might have 4 ticks per week between the two of them.

Yes, you might have to pay a customs fee when you order the spray to be shipped outside of the US but it´s all worth it to have our doggie friends happy and clean instead of sluggish from having their bodies spending more time cleaning out toxins than being a dog right?

Akasha

Akasha

A tribute to my dear Akasha, without whom I would not be on this journey of discovery, change and adjustment. ;

Looking into your deep brown eyes, I don’t see the questions of life,
I see the answers.

Observing your strong body, I don’t see reluctance and stubbornness,
I see focus, love, devotion, dedication and passion.

A passion tied to the core of life,
the core of nature,
the core of Being.

To the core where instinct and knowing are one and the same,
where we cannot do anything but love, share and follow our hearts.

Where we live life to the fullest,
where the spark of life glows and it’s flame is undefeatable, even when you are sleeping.

In your Being there is a peace, a union, a knowing, a wisdom.
A wisdom which just is, which allows for that to be
what already is.

You are my guide.

You are my heart.

You are my innermost core.

You are a part of my soul, my essence, my Being.

Don’t hold back

OK, I have been missing Oprah since the Oprah show stopped running.
Yes, I admit – I was seriously addicted to my daily dose of watching Ms Winfrey sharing herself with the world.
If I could not watch every episode, which I rarely could, I taped them and watched when I had the time.
Some of those episodes that inspired me deeply I have still saved on my UPC box and they will stay there till it crashes.

The other day while zapping I came across “Oprah behind the Scenes” and had no time for TV watching right there and then so I taped it. The whole series of course…

Just now I had a quick snack, some berries and nuts and a cup of green tea, and threw myself on the couch to enjoy my tea before commencing with work and got to watch the last 20 minutes of the “Oprah behind the Scenes” that covered her last show.

The love, the joy, the “I-don’t-have-words-to-describe-it” that emanates from her team, the people whose lives she’s touched and from herself is more than tangible – it reaches to the very core of your soul as you’re sitting there in front of the TV.

And I realized for myself, now that she so openly shares what goes on behind the scenes as well as not just the show itself, that the only way to live your life is to not hold back.

Don’t hold back!

Do everything you do with your full passion and presence.
Realize that you are amazing; you are a gift to yourself and to everyone around you no matter what profession you have, if you’re sick or healthy, whether you are throwing a party, walking the dog or doing the dishes.
You are here to teach and to be taught.
We are all here to learn, share, teach and heal each other – and we do that just through our presence, always.
So, whatever your task is today or tomorrow or next year – don’t hold back!
See everyone as your teacher and realize that you are one as well.

Oprah got into the elevator for her last studio show saying “every step I have taken in my life has led me to this moment”. A quote we hear more often, but do we let it sink in?
Whether your moment is positive or negative right now, acknowledge that you have led yourself there and you can lead yourself to the next step however you choose.

Don’t hold back!
You are too precious a being.

The beautiful gifts of dogs, Elsa and Akasha, that we have living with us demonstrates this fully in every moment.
If Elsa is hunting she is doing it with passion, if she’s eating she’s doing it with passion, if she’s running she’s doing it with passion, and Akasha can even rest and let go with passion – with no holding back!

Nature does not hold back when spring breaks – it’s a blast of colours, sounds, smells, full on.
When winter comes there is no holding back in the retreating, resting and preserving of energy.

So, don’t hold back!
Let’s get out there – or in there, to do the dishes – with no holding back!
