Bolton´s tips & wisdom

20131012 Bolton

The past weekend I had the funniest, wisest and warmest Labradoodle to communicate with that I have ever had the privilege to connect with.

He was just a bright sparkle all over, and there were quite a lot of things he said which I think we can all benefit and learn from. With the permission of his person, who booked the consult with me – and of course the permission from Bolton himself – I am sharing two of those here.

One of all the questions I always ask the animal (I have about 20 or so questions I ask every animal in the consultations, next to all the questions from the animal´s people) is what he thinks of people/humans in general and how he relates to them. On this Bolton replied something we can all take to heart ;

“ Sometimes I really get a “human allergy”. People just don’t have any awareness at all about their own energy, what energy and signals they are sending out and this leads to a total lack of control of the consequences.”

I asked him to elaborate a bit and he explained to me that we humans need to take the responsibility of all our actions and thoughts as well as the consequences of these. He showed me that quite often we stand around and “chit chat” or do “cold talk” and we let all sorts of things about ourselves, other people, other peoples kids, dogs, cats, birds and horses slip out we don´t realize that every word or thought sent out with a bad intent or a not so friendly comment creates a whirlwind of negativity that comes back to bite us all. Animals, and quite often young children, all feel this straight away and when they cannot walk away from this negative energy it sticks to them. Bolton also showed me that it sticks to all of us, and that we have to stop questioning why “things don´t work out” and look at what energy we are putting out into the world. All the time.

Once we get that we can experiment immediately with putting positive energy out there – comments, hugs, compliments, and see what happens then.

I was also told that when you catch yourself with “one negative” , don´t beat yourself up but go for “two positives”. So when you find yourself thinking, wanting or having said something negative about a situation or somebody just pause and look for two positives in the same situation. “Bolton´s diffuse”.

Bolton also had a tip for all of us dog people for when a situation arises with another dog or more dogs whom you see your own dog reacting fearful too. That is the moment when you as the “leader” has to step in with all your energy and presence. Saying “don´t be afraid” out loud he told us, won´t work at this point. You have to put yourself physically in the way between the other dog/s and yours and show with your energy that you are not letting anyone close to your animal. This is done without words, so it requests your complete presence and awareness of your own intent and energy. Then everyone can feel that there is nothing to be afraid of, there is no trespassing of boundaries here.

His comment to this was also “that is why kids don´t do what you say, instead they do what you do. So, do! And be aware of what you do! And Do when you do!”

Bolton is showing us one situation here, but his comment and solution is something we can take in to all areas of our lives.

Thank you Bolton for talking to us all!

Message from the Void

untitled

This morning I received the following message when journeying to the Above – the journeying and meditating being part of the daily practice of the 1 year course Path Of The White Wolf – and something is urging me to share it here:

“Choose softness and love, as there is no need for holding, for fear, for attachment, for fear of the unknown.
All is the unknown.
We know nothing.
What we think we know we hold on to, and through that holding we cannot see the beauty, the magic, the possibilities, the warmth, the joy, the Love of the Void.
There are the glittering stars, the spaciousness.
There is the softness, warmth, joy, even in the midst of chaos and despair.
There is the Space.
Let go and feel the Space. The Space of All That Is. The Void. The Nothingness. The Isness. The Beingness. The Aloneness.
The Alone-ness in the Not Alone of the Oneness. Bliss.
Heaven.
Follow the vibration.

Elsas blog 21/10 2013

Elsa

Hi dear Elsa, what do you want to talk about, blog about, tell people about today?

About flowers, butterflies and “airy-fairy” things like that.

Because they dance, they don´t question, they just grow, they “joy”, they fulfil and dance.

Why is it so hard to get into the heads of you humans that you too are here to grow, to blossom, to fertilize, to flow in what is, to follow nature?

First you are a seed, the seed of pure potential.
And that seed did not come out of nowhere. It can from another flower, another plant.
The pure life force was shared there, from one to the other, from one to the next.

You are cared for.

A seed cannot just sprout from being a seed. You are embedded in nutritious, warm, motherly soil.
You get rained on, the roots start to grow and as your nails, your feet, your roots, your paws, your whatever-you-call-them sinks deeper into Earth – be it stone, sand, mush, soil, gravel, swamp or whatever – you open up more and more.

You poke your head through the surface and “bling” – there´s the sun!
Warming rays, heavy winds, even cold blizzards and hail storms love you, nurture you, shape you.

And what do you humans do then?

A lot of you stop there – stagnate, get stuck in what you call “the scars of the shaping”, waging a war of bitterness on the cold blizzards next to a desperate search for a forever-and-always-only-love-of-the-sun.
= Out of balance!

Open yourselves up, show your petals, receive with gratitude whatever comes in – rain, storm, sun, shower, hail, draught, soft breeze, mist, snow, daybreak or twilight.

You won’t wither and die.
That life force is in the seed even when the flower, the plant shrivels into a dry sheet.
That is the very moment when it releases it’s seeds, when the life force is expanding, is spreading!

May the force be with you!

Bubi´s wisdom

One of the first animals I communicated with as a professional Animal Communicator, and whom I had had the joy of practicing with as well with during my studies with Marta Williams, was Bubi – the wisest little cat I had ever spoken to by then.

She had such a “spot on ” message for the rest of us and it is with the permission of Bubi´s person Majda that I am grateful to be able to share Bubi´s wisdom with the world, in her own words:

“Why are people never content with the way things are, enjoying the day and the moment the way it is?”

There is so much wisdom in that question, and we can really use this question when we catch ourselves complaining, feeling grumpy, impatient and so on.
Even if the answer is that we are in such a horrible situtation that “how can we possibly be content with the way things are right now in this moment”, there is an opening there.

An opening for the next question: “What do I need to be content in this very moment?” “Is there one little thing in this very moment that I can be grateful or content about?”

Thank you Bubi for leading the way!

A Street Cat Named Bob

Bob 2Bob
Ok, I never thought I´d write about books on this blog – but hey, you should never think “never”, right!?
And why not, there are so many great books out there, plus I really feel we should be sharing the great things around us instead of just listening to the glooming news on the TV, radio and online.

So, here´s a book for everyone out there – cat lovers, animal lovers in general and anyone who just loves to read a good book.

A Street Cat Named Bob is about, and written by, James Bowen. He lets us into his life on as well as just off the streets. Something most of us would never get to read about, as who would ever have thought about pitching a book about that subject?

James says more than once that Bob saved his life, and when you read the book you realize that it was not only Bob who saved James – it was the other way around as well.

What I love most about this book is the genuine connection between animal and human, pictured in day to day life, in a much harsher day to day life than most of us are used to or could imagine – and you feel the connection, the strengthening of the bond in every word, on every page.

It is just a really, really good read and so, so genuine (yes, I know I have used that word twice now, it really is the word describing this book the strongest way – genuine, genuine, genuine). It teaches us to live with gratitude and the importance of bonding with our teachers the animals, what they can teach us and how they can guide us to change into the best people we can possibly be.

Thank you James, and thank you Bob for letting us into your lives and sharing your wisdom!

My Middle Earth

coral-lake1

During our Writer´s Circle in June at Kathy´s in The Hague we got “My Middle Earth / My Perfect World” as our subject for our 10 minute speed writing excercise at the beginnig of our writing get together.
This is what came out from my pen…..
to be continued…..

Tentacles grew out of blue, yellow and green stars when Jorden was created.
They all had their different gifts and properties which were tangled into the creation of this mysterious, beautiful, mist filled planet.
Sparkles of love, joy and music showered down from the velvety heavens.
Bundles of warmth, compactness and diversity swirled around her – encompassing her with their rays.
From inside the core the tentacles started infusing wisdom, search and silence.
And in between, inside and surrounding all of this the whispers of the Great Mystery were planted.

Once completed – although completed is a word which does not do justice as She is bustling with movement, adventure and cocooning on all planes, continuously – the stars withdrew.
From above, below and around they stayed at a distance, watching, beaming and ever present.

There was a small, silver blue lake at the bottom of a steep hill. To one side of it the majestic mountains of Theo were towering towards the glimmering heights, being reflected in the water.
On one side of the lake lay a forest of old oak trees and young willows, all flowing with the winds. Sometimes you could hear a faint laughter coming out of the depths of the woods.
On the other side, a sea of green and flowers in all shades of blue, moss and pink were spreading towards the horizon of Eternity.

The world is a ball

005 (14)

This afternoon we took our yoga practice outside, to the park a few blocks away from Lisette´s studio.

The spring has been hiding behind dark clouds, heavy raindrops and cold winds for weeks, so today when the sun greeted us with heart warming warmth we could do nothing less than greet it back. Outdoors.

So, off to the Ripperda Park we went, with Freya, Lisette´s always-happy English cocker spaniel in tow.

As we sat in the deep grass meditating to the sound of the soft wind, mixed with incoming trains and planes Freya was doing her “run around with the ball dance” and you could feel her joy and happiness swirling around us, closing us into her circle of abundant joy which she finds in every moment anew.

At one point during our asana practice, Freya was rolling around under us as we were in Adho Mukha Svanasana, ball one second in her mouth and the next second throwing it herself to run after it and Lisette said with a laugh “it is as if she thinks that the ball is the most important thing in the world”.

A nanosecond before Lisette had finished her sentence out loud, a clear and direct comment came from Freya “but the world is a ball”!
First we smiled about it and then we realized Freya was right. The whole world is our ball! And it is up to us whether we decide to play in the world or just let it sit.

Today Freya taught us the lesson of choosing to see, to notice, to en-joy, to choose ourselves to be there in every moment.

Thank you Freya!
