Grrrrrr….. – by Elsa

Elsa, what needs to be made known?

Where should I start?
You all – people – make things so complicated. All that needs to be made known you already know in your hearts.

That you don´t play enough.
That you don´t love enough.
That you don´t share enough.
That you don´t laugh enough.
That you don´t walk enough.

Like , what if you took a walk outside your door?
I mean, really took a walk.
Noticing that you step outside, noticing life around you, your neighbours – whatever breed they are – , your part of town or the country side , how when you step outside your door you are part of everything. And if you do not participate you are still participating.
Every time you choose to not play, to not love, to not share, to not laugh, to not walk you are choosing to be part of destroying not just the earth but your own will to live, will to be.

What needs to be made known?

My God, what kind of question is that?
You all think you know so much, read this, take that course, do this, do that – but it is all useless. Completely, utterly useless as you do not put it to use for the benefit of others. You just stack it up and lock every door in or out.
Why do you do that? Why are you like that? Ask yourselves those questions and know that you can solve whatever issue you have by “just” playing, loving, sharing, laughing and walking more!

Pardon the tone but this really pisses me off.

Grrrrrrrr……

Whole – by Elsa

So, Elsa, it has been quite some time since we did this blog together last time. What would you like to share with the world right now?

That all is important.

That you cannot just keep making lists and prioritizing.
Just like washing the rice. When you wash/clean the rice you clean the rice. You know what I mean 😉 !

Wholeness is important. A wholeness in what you do and what you are. So many of you feel broken, incomplete, are looking for the missing piece. You are the missing piece! In it’s whole complete “you-are-ness”. And yet you are not a piece. You are peace . ☺ .
That was a good one, eh ☺!

What you are searching for is already here. Your very own pot of gold or whatever you like to call it.

And now I want to talk about mice.
I am a husky. We hunt mice. Full stop.

I am wise, I am a primordial being but you can´t stop me from being a dog. Also.

Whole. Complete. Take it in. All that I am. All that you are.

Kisses!

Akasha on Love

Akasha

Since I attended Marta Williams workshops here in The Netherlands for the second time around about a month ago I took her advice to heart to communicate with my own animals daily, and that is when you really start to notice that after some time that they open up and initiate conversations with you too more often.

Yesterday Akasha all of a sudden told me, as I was hanging out with her at her favourite place to sleep for the night at the moment, which is in the hallway snuggled up against the cold tiles of the wall, that ;

“Love is not something you do.
Love is when you hold space together, when you really are in that space together.
When you say “I love you”, you feel love but it is not inside you, it is not something that is yours or that you really feel, it just is.
It is in that space which we are holding together right now. Always. That space is always there. Everything is space, space is everywhere, so love is everywhere. When you notice space, you notice Love.”

And her name is Akasha……

A Street Cat Named Bob

Bob 2Bob
Ok, I never thought I´d write about books on this blog – but hey, you should never think “never”, right!?
And why not, there are so many great books out there, plus I really feel we should be sharing the great things around us instead of just listening to the glooming news on the TV, radio and online.

So, here´s a book for everyone out there – cat lovers, animal lovers in general and anyone who just loves to read a good book.

A Street Cat Named Bob is about, and written by, James Bowen. He lets us into his life on as well as just off the streets. Something most of us would never get to read about, as who would ever have thought about pitching a book about that subject?

James says more than once that Bob saved his life, and when you read the book you realize that it was not only Bob who saved James – it was the other way around as well.

What I love most about this book is the genuine connection between animal and human, pictured in day to day life, in a much harsher day to day life than most of us are used to or could imagine – and you feel the connection, the strengthening of the bond in every word, on every page.

It is just a really, really good read and so, so genuine (yes, I know I have used that word twice now, it really is the word describing this book the strongest way – genuine, genuine, genuine). It teaches us to live with gratitude and the importance of bonding with our teachers the animals, what they can teach us and how they can guide us to change into the best people we can possibly be.

Thank you James, and thank you Bob for letting us into your lives and sharing your wisdom!

The world is a ball

005 (14)

This afternoon we took our yoga practice outside, to the park a few blocks away from Lisette´s studio.

The spring has been hiding behind dark clouds, heavy raindrops and cold winds for weeks, so today when the sun greeted us with heart warming warmth we could do nothing less than greet it back. Outdoors.

So, off to the Ripperda Park we went, with Freya, Lisette´s always-happy English cocker spaniel in tow.

As we sat in the deep grass meditating to the sound of the soft wind, mixed with incoming trains and planes Freya was doing her “run around with the ball dance” and you could feel her joy and happiness swirling around us, closing us into her circle of abundant joy which she finds in every moment anew.

At one point during our asana practice, Freya was rolling around under us as we were in Adho Mukha Svanasana, ball one second in her mouth and the next second throwing it herself to run after it and Lisette said with a laugh “it is as if she thinks that the ball is the most important thing in the world”.

A nanosecond before Lisette had finished her sentence out loud, a clear and direct comment came from Freya “but the world is a ball”!
First we smiled about it and then we realized Freya was right. The whole world is our ball! And it is up to us whether we decide to play in the world or just let it sit.

Today Freya taught us the lesson of choosing to see, to notice, to en-joy, to choose ourselves to be there in every moment.

Thank you Freya!

Don’t hold back

OK, I have been missing Oprah since the Oprah show stopped running.
Yes, I admit – I was seriously addicted to my daily dose of watching Ms Winfrey sharing herself with the world.
If I could not watch every episode, which I rarely could, I taped them and watched when I had the time.
Some of those episodes that inspired me deeply I have still saved on my UPC box and they will stay there till it crashes.

The other day while zapping I came across “Oprah behind the Scenes” and had no time for TV watching right there and then so I taped it. The whole series of course…

Just now I had a quick snack, some berries and nuts and a cup of green tea, and threw myself on the couch to enjoy my tea before commencing with work and got to watch the last 20 minutes of the “Oprah behind the Scenes” that covered her last show.

The love, the joy, the “I-don’t-have-words-to-describe-it” that emanates from her team, the people whose lives she’s touched and from herself is more than tangible – it reaches to the very core of your soul as you’re sitting there in front of the TV.

And I realized for myself, now that she so openly shares what goes on behind the scenes as well as not just the show itself, that the only way to live your life is to not hold back.

Don’t hold back!

Do everything you do with your full passion and presence.
Realize that you are amazing; you are a gift to yourself and to everyone around you no matter what profession you have, if you’re sick or healthy, whether you are throwing a party, walking the dog or doing the dishes.
You are here to teach and to be taught.
We are all here to learn, share, teach and heal each other – and we do that just through our presence, always.
So, whatever your task is today or tomorrow or next year – don’t hold back!
See everyone as your teacher and realize that you are one as well.

Oprah got into the elevator for her last studio show saying “every step I have taken in my life has led me to this moment”. A quote we hear more often, but do we let it sink in?
Whether your moment is positive or negative right now, acknowledge that you have led yourself there and you can lead yourself to the next step however you choose.

Don’t hold back!
You are too precious a being.

The beautiful gifts of dogs, Elsa and Akasha, that we have living with us demonstrates this fully in every moment.
If Elsa is hunting she is doing it with passion, if she’s eating she’s doing it with passion, if she’s running she’s doing it with passion, and Akasha can even rest and let go with passion – with no holding back!

Nature does not hold back when spring breaks – it’s a blast of colours, sounds, smells, full on.
When winter comes there is no holding back in the retreating, resting and preserving of energy.

So, don’t hold back!
Let’s get out there – or in there, to do the dishes – with no holding back!

What is my souls journey?

whitewolf

In our Writer’s Circle today, Niamh gave us the theme “What is my souls journey”, which we wrote while the shamanic journey drum was playing in the background for 15 minutes.
We were all in awe of what our pens brought out, and if it had not been for the feedback and direct interpretation of my dear writing friends Jo, Kathy and Niamh I would still be a “sitting question mark”.

Drumming heartbeat, taking me away,
Shimmering, vague, strong and eerie at the same time.
Where are we going, where are we going?

To your deep destination, deep within.

White wolves and white wizards.

We are all journeying together.

It is denser, more tangible, yet strangely see through.
Magic.
Lots of outside “noises”; phones going off, dogs fighting cars
– They are here but yet not here.

We are on the other side of the veil.

There we go again…
…travelling on a soft, sheer, white piece of silk.
Journeying further away, but still here.

White wolves and white wizards.

Stars on a bright dark sky.

Time to save the planet, to save the cold.

Snow glimmering in the night,
harsh, frozen crystals like stars on the forest floor.
Feet gliding above the snow.
Stars brighter, sky more velvety black.

The message is breathed out through steamy voices;

go, go, go,
flow, flow, flow,
let flow do, do, do.

Sit in your own stillness, coolness,
like the white wizard.
Roam the snowy fields and the barren lands
like the white wolf.
Move among people
like the blue wizard, the grey wolf.

Observe, communicate, transform.

The veil will get thinner,
white will meet grey.

There is song there,
creation, celebration, mysticism and reality.

Through the cold from the north comes a new birth.
Icy waters from glacial places, cleansing.

Bring out the light, the creativity.
Share it.

White wizard, white wolf are here to not retreat
but to merge.

Icy waters wash in the spring.
Slow spring,
flowers breaking the cracks in the granite wide open.
birthing towards the sun.

Feel the sun warm the grey,
the granite, the city,
the smog, the dirty waters.

Blue wizards bring green.
Green brings clarity, cleanliness,
new.

High waves washing the shores,
washing the mind.
New white Earth springing from the ocean.

Deer roaming wild, poets living their mind,
white flowers, old people, smiling children.
Blue, light blue cities.
Dawning light.

Expectation. No fear,
just curiosity and joy.

What is to come, what is to come….?
